Description
Cardamom (Elaichi) is known as the king of spices and is one of the most valued aromatic spices in the world. Native to the forests of the Western Ghats in Southern India, Cardamom is now also cultivated in regions like Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Indo-China, and Tanzania.
Cardamom is an aromatic seed pod used in various Indian culinary preparations. It adds a unique sweet flavour and rich aroma that enhances the taste of dishes, beverages, and traditional recipes. In Ayurveda, Choti Elaichi is considered an aromatic herb commonly used as a flavouring agent and is valued for its traditional wellness properties.
Our Cardamom is sourced from the true variety Elettaria cardamomum, known as authentic cardamom. Indian Cardamom is mainly available in Malabar and Mysore varieties, with Mysore Cardamom being especially aromatic due to its higher levels of natural compounds like cineol and limonene.
Cardamom is one of the most expensive spices after saffron and has been traditionally appreciated for its refreshing flavour, culinary importance, and Ayurvedic significance.
