Description
Chia Seeds are called a superfood because they provide energy, protein, minerals, fiber, and Omega-3 fatty acids with very few calories. Chia Seeds supply a high amount of nutrients even with a small quantity of consumption. They have an ideal ratio of 3:1 of Omega-3 to Omega-6 fatty acids and are easy to digest and ready to eat.
"Chia" is the ancient Mayan word for "strength." Chia Seeds were an important dietary staple for the Aztecs and Mayans. Warriors consumed Chia Seeds during war times as they provided sustained energy, reduced hunger cravings, and helped maintain stamina, which is why they are also known as "Warrior Food."
A 28-gram serving (approximately 2 tablespoons) of Chia Seeds provides around 137 calories and contains essential nutrients such as dietary fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Benefits
1. Rich in Omega-3: Chia Seeds are a natural source of Omega-3 fatty acids, especially Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). These healthy fats support overall wellness and help maintain cardiovascular health. Omega-3 fatty acids help protect against blood clots and support healthy artery function.
2. Supports Digestive Health: Chia Seeds are rich in dietary fiber, providing around 11 grams per 28 grams serving. Fiber helps support healthy digestion, bowel regularity, and healthy stool. The fiber absorbs water and expands in the stomach, helping you feel fuller for longer.
3. Helps Manage Diabetes: Chia Seeds contain Alpha-linolenic acid and fiber, which help support healthy insulin function and blood sugar balance. Their high fiber content makes them beneficial for maintaining metabolic health.
4. Supports Weight Loss: Chia Seeds are rich in protein and fiber, which can help support weight management. The fiber absorbs water, expands in the stomach, and helps increase fullness, reducing unnecessary cravings.
Usage
Recommended Dosage: Generally take 1 teaspoon of Chia Seeds with salads, shakes, smoothies, desserts, or other foods to make them healthier.
