Himalayan Rock Salt is very healthy salt, but do not forget that salt is required just in moderate or say small  quantity, let it be any type of salt. Salt is required by our body to maintain fluid balance, various muscle functions and the transmission of nerve impulses as salt is composed of sodium and chloride, which are two electrolytes.

Some FAQ's regarding salt:

1. Do we need salt intake everyday?

The answer is yes, Everyone needs salt for fluid balance and various muscle and nerve function. This acts as an electrolyte in our body.

2. What if we take too much of salt: Too much of salt intake has been linked to kidney stones, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. This depends from a person to person, body to body, their lifestyle etc.

3. How much of salt we need everyday?

Our body has all the chemicals or antibodies to regulates how much sodium it contains. If levels of sodium in our body are too high, we get thirsty and we drink, and the kidneys activates itself and speed up the process of getting rid of this. But we must know how much 

As per The American Heart Association (AHA)  a maximum intake of not more than 2.3 grams or 2,300mg of sodium a day, or around 1 teaspoon, and preferably not more than 1,500 mg.

4. Does our body get sodium from other food items?

Yes some vegetables and fruits has little amount of sodium in it. Like a single beet has 65 milligrams of sodium, celery has 50 milligrams of sodium per large stalk. Cauliflower, tomato, sweet potatoes and artichokes all has some sodium.

Then all the processed foods, cereals, pickles,snacks, ready to eats, sauces and olives has sodium in moderate to high quantity.

5. Does Himalayan Rock salt contain Iodine? How much?

A half gram of Himalaya salt provides an incredible 250 micrograms of iodine, over 150% of the daily value of iodine. So you can consume this salt in small amount only. No need of taking in large amounts.

Himalayan salt is considered healthier than regular table salt, which often has additives, such as the anti-caking agent sodium ferrocyanide.

Full of minerals

This salt contains many minerals which is needed by our body.Salt is used in our daily life so thought of using this salt to get maximum benefits.

    blood pressure

    My yoga teacher suggested to use this rock salt ( sendha namak ) instead of table salt or sea salt. I got amazed with the results of my blood pressure levels going down slowly. Because anyways I have to consume less salt only.

      very healthy salt

      After reading on net we all started using this salt. I live in apartments, all my neighbours also started using this salt, as they liked food in my house and of course seeing our maintained health.

        Blood Pressure

          Good taste

          Even after knowing the benefits of rock salt, I never tried these type of salts. But after eating this salt, I did not find any difference in taste. So I am continuing this salt regularly. As we all know the benefits of this type of salt.
