Flaxseed oil comes from the seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum, L.). Flaxseed oil contains both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are needed for health. Flaxseed oil contains the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil. 

Flaxseed oil contains 50 percent to 60 percent omega-3 fatty acids in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). With even more anti-inflammatory and disease-preventing ALA than fish oil, many people opt for flaxseed oil benefits over fish oil benefits, especially people who don’t eat meat and people concerned about the possible mercury lurking in some fish oils.

The ALA fats in flax seeds benefits the skin and hair by providing essential fats as well as b-vitamins which can help reduce dryness and flakiness. It can also improve symptoms of acne, rosacea, and eczema. This also applies to eye health as flax can reduce dry eye syndrome. Flax seed oil is another great option since it has an even higher concentration of healthy fats. You can take 1-2 tbsp internally to hydrate skin and hair.  It can also be mixed with essential oils and used as a natural skin moisturizer.

Weight Loss : A study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that flax seeds and walnuts may improve obesity and support weight loss. Since flax is full of healthy fats and fiber, it will help you feel satisfied longer so you will eat fewer calories overall which may lead to weight loss. ALA fats may also help reduce inflammation.

Reduce menopause symptoms: Like soy, flaxseed and flaxseed oil contain plant-based chemicals that act like estrogen and may help reduce symptoms of menopause. Studies found that women who took phytoestrogens from both soy and flaxseed reduced hot flashes and vaginal dryness.

Constipation : Studies show that daily use of flaxseed and flaxseed oil are as effective as mineral oil in treating constipation.

Flaxseeds are Gluten-Free : Using flax is a great way to naturally replace gluten-containing grains which are inflammatory where flax is anti-inflammatory.  So, flax seeds are great for those who have Celiac disease or have Gluten Sensitivity. They may also be a good alternative to omega-3 fats in fish for people with a seafood allergy.

Dosage : Adults can consume 2-3 ml ( 40-50 drops ) of Flax seed oil with or without water. Children 10-15 drops.

Caution : Large doses of 10 ml per day and higher can cause loose stools and diarrhea. Allergic reactions have occurred while taking flaxseed oil. Flaxseed oil is possibly unsafe when taken by mouth during pregnancy. 

Storage of flax seed oil: The nutritional value of flaxseed oil is easily destroyed by light, heat and oxygen. Always use cold-pressed variety and keep it refrigerated.

            Good results

            After using 2-3 so called cold pressed oil brands from Mumbai, I was not getting visible results. Then i searched for another oil company. i ordered Coconut oil (cold pressed) and Flax oil ( cold pressed) from this company.
            I got real visible results, can feel the difference between these oils.

              Heart healthy

              I got a suggestion to start eating flax seeds every day. I tried having these seeds, but was not happy to eat in desired quantity. Then on net, I found this oil. I am taking this now almost without fail. I can see improvement in my breathing pattern and increased energy. I dont get tired soon now.

                Easy to take and effective

                Now a days people are finnicky and take what people suggest ,even I did the same my dietician friend told me to take flax seeds.I tried taking it but it was difficult for me take a tablespoon full. I started finding an alternative as it has got good health benefits , my neighbour suggested me to take Oilcure flax seed oil as she was using the products and was really effective. I orderd and taking it regularly as it is easy to take and very satisfied
